A great UGC script follows a predictable structure that you can adapt to any product in any niche. Once you internalize this formula, writing scripts takes minutes instead of hours — and the content consistently outperforms ad-hoc filming.

The 3-part UGC script formula

Hook (0-3 seconds): Stop the scroll with a question, bold claim, or visual surprise. Body (3-20 seconds): Demonstrate the product solving a specific problem. CTA (20-30 seconds): Tell the viewer exactly what to do next. Every UGC script is a variation of this structure.

Body structure options

Choose the body structure that fits the product: Demo style — show the product being used with voiceover explaining the value. Testimonial style — speak directly to camera about your experience. Before/after style — show the problem, then the solution. Listicle style — '3 reasons I love this product' with quick cuts between each.

Script writing tips

Write like you talk — not like you write. Read the script out loud before filming. If any sentence feels awkward to say, rewrite it. Keep sentences short (under 15 words). Use 'you' more than 'I.' And always time yourself reading the script before you film — a 30-second video needs roughly 75-80 words of dialogue.
